YASSS. You get a cool tag + memes! What’s not to love?!
There are so many other great meme formats but not all would work for this tag. (seriously tho: the boyfriend meme??? One of my faves!)
You’re welcome to use this tag if you want. Just make sure you link me to your post!
Classic: a classic no one reads anymore yet everyone knows what it is
I haven’t read this one (see title lol) so I’m not adding the Goodreads (cause I’m too lazy to look it up) But I’d say Moby Dick. Not many people I know have actually read it (except maybe for literature class, which doesn’t really count) But literally everyone knows about it
Textpost: a hilarious/sarcastic novel
The Boy Who Steals Houses. It’s just so hilarious! And the deleted scene!! UGHHH! So funny! Definitely the funniest novel I own.
I feel like I’m spelling hilarious wrong.
I can’t tell.
Confused Nick Young meme: you literally no idea what’s happening in this novel right now.
Imagine Us Happy. It was SO confusing because of the way the chapters were. It was future, past, present, wait what past? Future? I literally have NO IDEA. It started from the end to the beginning? See! I still don’t know.
Drake meme: a sequel that’s better than the first book
This is an unpopular opinion, but Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is way better than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone. I’m sorry. It just is.
Winnie the Pooh: A retelling that’s better than the original
Okay. Hm. Difficult… Very difficult…
Crimson Bound. The original story is literally what? A few lines long? This is much better. Anyway, WEREWOLFY CREATURES?? Yes please! These books are really good if you’re into fairy-tale retellings. (and CJ Redwine’s Ravenspire series.)
DEAL WITH IT: a popular novel that DESERVES all the hype.
Either Six of Crows or The Cruel Prince. They’re both AMAZING and books I’d actually buy (saying something) (And, actually, I bought myself Six of Crows recently and it’s beautiful) They both deserve all the hype. GO READ THEM IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY!
CHANGE MY MIND: an unpopular novel that you LOVE.
The only book that I can think of that FITS is Twilight, but I hated it, so…
Me killing the meaning of my own tag
You can choose whatever meaning you want! An unpopular as in lots of people hated it, or unpopular not a lot of people read it.
We All Fall Down. I only gave it three stars on Goodreads, but I did like it. I love Natalie Richards books. And, according to Goodreads, only 600ish people read it. Which is small. Isn’t it? Anyway, it’s not very popular and it’s GREAT! I love creepy books so. much.
Screaming seagull meme: a book whose plot is slow until the very end
It’s not cheating if I put two Harry Potter books, is it? Because The Deathly Hallows is SO SLOW until the very end when all the wand confusion and everyone dying and UGH. WHAT IS HAPPENING? TOO… MUCH… (the wand ownership thing was so confusing! It took me forever to figure out what they meant.)
Pigeon meme: A book that seems like one thing, but turns out to be another
Carry On. I thought this was going to be the series Cath read in the books, but it turned out to be her fanfiction novel. Which is fine, but it was kinda confusing.
I would LOVE to read the actual series, but I understand the fanfiction because: 1) fanfiction is awesome 2) the series was Harry Potter based and doing the actual series might be more of a plagiarism thing.
